Recovery Assist
In May 2009 when Margaret Crausby opened the doors of Recovery Assist -www.recoveryassist.co.uk - she admits to having a mixed feeling of excitement and trepidation as to what the future held for this new business venture. Having given up a secure job with an established Legal firm, the Bury born solicitor was certainly taking a gamble especially at a time when most would have been wary of setting out on such a high risk enterprise.
Almost 12 months on, Margaret reflected on the specialist claims firms progress and admits to being very pleased with the results. ” We have settled hundreds of cases and won many thousands of pounds in compensation for people and from the feedback we have had from our clients, I think we have developed a reputation as an excellent claims solicitors”
Margaret is particularly proud of the firms record at court and added “Although most compensation cases are settled out of court, there have been times when our clients have been made low offers and in such cases we have challenged these at court. I am particularly proud of the fact that in every case that we have took to court we have successfully increased the level of compensation offered to our clients”.
Living proof of this success is 34 year old Mr S who was injured when a car collided with his in Bury in July last year. Mr S took his case to Recovery Assist and was initially offered £1800 in compensation by the other drivers insurers.
Picking up the story Mr S said “Margaret advised me that this offer was not consistent with the level of injuries and inconvenience I had suffered and that I should allow her to take it further to the court stage. Recovery Assist handled everything from there and I was eventually awarded £2700 so it was really good advice.”
So almost one year into trading Margaret and her team at Recovery Assist can reflect on a job well done and look to the future with the same level of excitement but less trepidation as the firms record is really stating to speak for itself.
