Telephone calls misusing the name “Recovery Assist” We are aware that unsolicited telephone calls have been made misusing the name of Recovery Assist LLP. We understand that members of the public are receiving telephone calls from a withheld number claiming to be from “Recovery Assist”. We understand that the recipient of the call is asked about a road traffic accident and the caller is insistent that they make a personal injury claim. The calls have come from people using various different names, and on occasion the same members of the public have been called multiple times. Recently a member of the public has had someone visit their house for the purposes of “signing paperwork” in relation to a “potential claim”. We understand that the visitor claimed to be from a claims management company instructed on behalf of “Recovery Assist”, but that the member of the public would be contacted by a different firm of solicitors to arrange a medical consultation. What can you do? Recovery Assist have reported this matter to our governing body the SRA who authorise and regulate us and they have issued a “Scam” alert on their website. We have also reported this matter to Ofcom and Action Fraud. If you receive such a call please call Action Fraud ( ) on 03001232040 quoting reference number NFRC180802455618
