Complaints Policy - What you need to know
We are committed to providing high quality legal advice and client care. We will aim to resolve the complaint to your satisfaction within 8 weeks. If however you are not satisfied with our handling of your complaint, then at the end of our complaints process, you can ask the Legal Ombudsman at PO Box 6806, Wolverhampton, WV1 9WJ enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk, 0300 555 0333 to consider the complaint. Please note that if your complaint is about a bill you can also apply to Court for assessment of the bill under Part 111 of the Solicitors’ Act 1974.
Normally, you will need to bring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving a final written response from us about your complaint or within six years of the act or omission about which you are complaining occurring (or if outside of this period, within three years of when you should reasonably have been aware of it).Further details are contained in our written Complaints Procedure, a copy of which can be provided to you on request.
The Solicitors Regulation Authority can help if you are concerned about our behaviour. This could be for things like dishonesty, taking or losing your money or treating you unfairly because of your age, a disability or other characteristic.
